More Than Just Furniture

What began as a small workshop in the back of a Marrickville warehouse has grown into one of Sydney's most respected custom furniture studios. Our founder, James Brennan, started with nothing more than a collection of hand tools, a passion for timber, and a belief that mass production had stripped furniture of its soul.

Today, we employ a team of twelve skilled craftspeople who share that same philosophy. Every piece that leaves our workshop carries the marks of human hands—not as imperfections, but as signatures of authenticity.

Our Philosophy

We believe furniture should outlive the people who make it. That belief shapes every decision we make—from the timber we source to the joints we cut to the finishes we apply.

There are no shortcuts in our workshop. We use traditional mortise-and-tenon joints where others might use dowels or screws. We hand-sand surfaces where machines would be faster. We let timber acclimatise for weeks before working it.

Our Values

The principles that guide everything we create

Patience

Good work cannot be rushed. We take the time needed to ensure every detail meets our standards.

Integrity

We use quality materials honestly. No veneers disguised as solid wood, no hidden particleboard.

Responsibility

Every tree that becomes our material deserves respect. We source sustainably and waste minimally.
